Policies, Terms & Conditions

All of us at The Secure Door wish to make your buying experience as superior as the door you are about to purchase. The following terms & conditions are meant for our customers to understand the process of ordering a custom made product.

Every The Secure Door product is a custom, made to order millwork product, specifically manufactured for each individual exterior doorway, and for the residence that it is to be installed. Size, handing, finishes, hardware and glass lights differ on each door to be made. The Secure Door does not allow returns for any reason. Consideration is given only for warranty replacement. See warranty and Guarantees.

The Secure Door will allow cancellation or changes to the initiated order, all or part, within four (4) business days (Mon-Fri) from the date that the order is received. If there is no notification by customer of cancellation/changes during that allotted time period, the order will be processed, and production initiated. We cannot stop or change the order after the four (4) business day's lapse. There are no exceptions. The purpose for this process, and allowing additional time, is for the customer and or contractor-installer to recheck their door measurements, handing, hardware, finishes and glass light type to insure they are correct, to make appropriate changes, and to notify us of those changes, prior to our starting production.

All door shipments are shipped freight collect F.O.B, Southfield, Michigan, unless other arrangements have been made in advance with the placement of the order. We ask that you thoroughly inspect your door shipment immediately upon arrival. If the door should arrive at your location in damaged condition, please note the damage on the freight carrier's Bill of Lading, before the driver leaves your facility. Retain a copy of the freight bill. Notify The Secure Door either by email or by phone. Please have the Bill of Lading number, damage description, and any photographs of the damage (if possible.) The Secure Door will file a freight claim on your behalf with the carrier. The Secure Door will then order a replacement door at no charge and ship to you once it has been completed. Privacy Policy

Information Collection And Use
The Secure Door is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Thesecuredoor.com website collects information from our users at several different points on our website for order fulfillment and other requests.

Orders
We request information from a customer on our order form via our shopping cart. Here a user must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information such as their credit card number and expiration date. This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the customer.

Links
Our website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we, thesecuredoor.com, are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this website.

Security SSL Encryption
This website takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.

When our registration/order form asks customers to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, you will see the URL changes from http to https. The (S) stands for secure. In some cases you will also see the lock icon on the web browser becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Site And Product Updates/ Info Sharing
We also send customers site and product announcement updates via email, but only if they are subscribed to our free E-Mail newsletter.

Correction/Updating Personal Information
If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as your zip code), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user's personal data provided to us. Changes To The Internet Privacy Policy
This Internet Privacy Policy is effective as January 1, 2018. To date we have never sold our customer information. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes here so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

Support Policies

We take pride in offering great customer support. We make the finest quality decorative steel entry doors, and know best how to fix problems that may arise. There are, however, some limitations as to what we can do:

  • We will support all issues for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • We may not offer free support for products which have been significantly altered, modified or damaged.

Refund Policy

Our doors are custom made to order and, as such, are not refundable outside of our warranty as described in our website.

If you have installation problems with any product, please contact us as soon as possible. We can help resolve the issue, or take other measures to get your product working as quickly as possible.

Warranty Agreement

The warranty period for The Secure Door products remains with the original homeowner, when homeowner has purchased product directly from The Secure Door. Warranty shall be honored to homeowner if said homeowner has purchased The Secure Door product through an authorized distributor or dealer.
